Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Player Pursuit ("we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile app and website (together, the "Service"). We try to collect as little as we can, and to be straight about what we do collect.
1. Information we collect
- Account data — when you sign in, we store your display name, avatar, and a unique identifier. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive only what you authorise.
- Gameplay data — scores, streaks, accuracy, and match history, so leaderboards and career mode work.
- Device data — device model, OS version, app version, and an anonymous install ID for diagnostics and crash reports.
- Usage & diagnostics — in-app activity (such as taps and screens viewed), crash logs, and performance data, used to improve the app.
- Purchases — records of in-app purchases you make, so we can unlock and restore your entitlements.
- Approximate location — our advertising and sign-in partners (Google AdMob and Google Sign-In) may infer your approximate (coarse) location, for example from your IP address, to show relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help prevent fraud. We do not collect precise GPS location, and the app does not request location permission.
- Support messages — if you email us, we keep your message and email address until the issue is resolved.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, or browsing activity outside the app.
2. How we use it
- To run the game (matchmaking, leaderboards, stats, sync across devices).
- To diagnose crashes and improve performance.
- To prevent abuse, cheating, and fraud.
- To show ads and, with your permission, personalize them and measure their performance.
- To respond to support requests.
3. Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share limited data with vetted partners who help us run the Service. They are contractually required to handle it on our instructions:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — sign-in, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications.
- Google Sign-In — authentication.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- New Relic — app analytics and performance monitoring.
- Sentry — crash and performance monitoring.
4. Advertising & tracking
We use Google AdMob to display ads. With your permission — requested through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — we and our advertising partners may use your device identifier and approximate location to show personalized ads and measure their effectiveness. If you decline, you'll still see ads, but they will be non-personalized.
You can change your choice at any time in your device's Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or through the ad-privacy options in the app under Settings.
5. Children
Player Pursuit is rated 4+ and suitable for all ages, but accounts are intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or by emailing us.
7. Retention
We keep gameplay and account data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep it longer.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, scoped service credentials, and follow industry-standard practices. No system is perfectly secure — if we ever detect a breach affecting you, we'll tell you.
9. Changes
If we update this policy materially, we'll let you know in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
